The pineal gland is a small organ located at the center of your brain. It produces serotonin, melatonin and helps regulate hormone production in the body. The natural light from the sun stimulates it to produce more melatonin during night hours.
This makes sense since we’re naturally asleep and our bodies are producing less cortisol which can stimulate wakefulness. During daytime hours when sunlight is plentiful, this slows down production of melatonin but not serotonin so you’ll be able to stay awake for longer periods of time without feeling sleepy or fatigued.
This blog post will discuss how you can activate your pineal gland by practicing various techniques such as meditation, yoga and other holistic methods that help to stimulate the gland’s activity while also helping with overall health.
Activating your 3rd eye
So I’ve gotten a lot of question about how to open your third eye because of our blog post here on chakras. Now I want to set up the who, what, why, and when before we get into this guide.
Your third eye is your spiritual center and these books, the Upanishads, Bhagavad-gita, as well as other spiritual texts all talk about your higher self.
The third eye is located in the middle of your forehead between your eyes. If you know anything about the pineal gland, it gets kind of creepy because that’s a beast of a thing – it’s one of our most spiritual glands and people who greatly emphasize the importance of tapping into your third eye say that is often referred to as the gateway between your spirit and physical reality.
The “Supernatural” book by Joe Dispenza is all about the pineal gland, which it describes as having crystals with receptors that function like an eye.
Your brain and light
Your eyes receive light and send it to your brain via the optic nerve. On top of that, there is a gland in front of your third eye called a pineal gland which has light receptors. This discovery goes to show that you can use your own body instead of technology devices for some things such as communication or mood regulation.
Here is where it gets a bit weird, out of body experiences are extremely strange but the process for experiencing one is quite simple. Most often, people experience them while drifting off to sleep and they usually last a few seconds at most.
I can perform actions, communicate with people and do all sorts of bizarre things in my dreams because melatonin is secreted by the pineal gland.
Calcified Gland
Let’s talk about two things people don’t know about the glands in their brains. Many are closed, not open like your eyes. We want to think of them opening and closing, but realistically they are getting calcified over time.
It turns out that when your pineal gland gets hard (or “calcified”), the vision receptors around it don’t work as well. This is because strong acids build up all over the pineal gland, decomposing its calcium carbonate crystals and damaging them.
It’s the same thing with runners who have a healthy heart. They run so much and build up their heart muscle, which then pumps blood more efficiently.
If you do these things, you can give your body a break from the painful process of decalcifying your pineal gland. These steps will help, cleaning out your water pipes to ensure pure drinking water; adding supplements that help decalcify the calcium and other minerals in the area around the brain stem.
the other thing is that most people are closed off from spirituality and these days they might even be in a lower vibrational state due to toxins in our environment. Fluoride and other unnatural chemicals are associated with calcification of the pineal gland.
Technique to open your pineal gland (5 Steps)
Focus on the third eye chakra (also called Ajna Chakra) at the center of your forehead between your eyebrows and try to feel a pull towards it; then make yourself comfortable in any position with spine straight as possible and take deep breaths through nose while closing eyes tightly shut for few seconds then exhaling slowly through mouth with lips sealed tight.
Repeat this process until you feel a tingling sensation in various parts of body like hands or feet which means that energy. Need more detail? Let’s do it.
Step 1 – Sit in a comfortable position and prepare brainwave entertainment
Make sure you’re sitting comfortably and try to find a spot that’s comfortable. This will take about 10 minutes, but make sure you feel relaxed. You’ll want some meditation music on while your getting in the zone. Binaural beats are a great choice, you can find lot’s of free options on YouTube or you can support these music creators with a purchase.
The human brain produces low-frequency alpha waves when in a relaxed state and high frequency beta waves when you’re engaged with mental activity.
Brainwave music is a process by which your brain can be brought into a desired state by listening to rhythmic pulses or beats that are within the range of what’s considered normal for our brains and associated with different states of consciousness.
An isochronic tone is simply a pure tone that’s rapidly turned on and off. Engineers calibrate these tones to specific frequencies in order to entrain the brain at certain frequencies (e.g., alpha).
Step 2 – Close your eyes and focus your attention towards your 3rd eye
Step number two, close your eyes and rest your attention in your third eye. This is located right here between the crease of your eyebrows so you’re going to imagine looking diagonally up (almost cross-eyed).
Your 3rd eye as the center of your brain, and your breath is coming in through one side. As you inhale to a count of 5 or so imagine that breath entering into the middle of your head and then exiting out the other side.
This movement will help activate the energy meridians around your third eye area.
Step 3 – Breath work
With your eyes closed and looking up, take six deep breaths. In through the belly for six seconds, and out through the nose for six seconds. Repeat this until you reach twenty-four breaths.
This is a series of exercises to help provide relief from stress and is similar to a wave coming in and out. The goal is to relax into a calm state where you’re placing your attention with intention.
Step 4 – Picture a bright light
After taking 10 deep breaths, exhaling up and keeping your eyes closed pointing towards the ceiling with your head back, I want you to picture a pulsating light all around your third eye. This can be any color of light; it could be golden or white.
Now, you could engage in sun gazing as a direct way to have light in crease insufficient levels of serotonin which can induce a low mood as exposure to direct and indirect sunlight increases the production of this substance.
But I’m talking about meditating on bright light of a specific color of your choice. Some will argue the benefits of sun gazing out weigh this mediation practice but the goal is to build out a process for you to easily follow.
Step 5 – Heart, mind and your 3rd eye connection
Step five is to experience a sensation of your heart jumping up your spine, and then sinking down to connect with your third eye.
Feel the energy from your heart as it pulses up your spine and connects to your third eye. You have a heart-brain connection and it’s something like the research coming out from the heart math institute.
You’ll feel the power of your heart too, it can influence your brain and vice versa, meaning new research is coming out about how important your emotions are to maintaining good health.
Meditate deeply to center yourself and connect with your third eye. Feel the weight of your heart, the love in your heart, the emotions in your heart. If you’re sad, feel sadness connected to your third eye.
What about DMT?
The pineal gland is also referred to as the “third eye” because it has photoreceptors similar to those found in the retina. When activated through things like meditation or DMT (Dimethyltryptamine), this may lead to increased creativity or spirituality.
Some people believe that activating your pineal gland can help you tap into an infinite source of intuition, knowledge, inspiration – something they call “cosmic consciousness.”
Spirit Molecule
The natural hallucinogen DMT is called the “Spirit Molecule” because it produces extraordinary visions and mystical states of consciousness.
Dr Stassman states:
DMT exists in all of our bodies and occurs throughout the plant and animal kingdoms. It is a part of the normal makeup of humans and other mammals; marine animals; grasses and peas; toads and frogs; mushrooms and molds; and barks, flowers, and roots.”
Ayahuasca and the Pineal Gland
Ayahuasca, an Amazonian plant medicine with roots deep within shamanic traditions, has been used for centuries for healing physical illness and psychological trauma by activating the body’s natural ability to heal itself along with spiritual growth.
The popular drug ayahuasca contains DMT which can bring one into contact with their spirit guides or show them past lives they have had.
When used with the proper mindset and environment, ayahuasca, iboga, and psilocybin can heal our minds. (Too bad these substances aren’t legal yet.)
Taking these psychedelic substances without engaging in other transformative practices will only have a temporary effect on your pineal gland.
Final thoughts on activating your pineal gland fast
The third eye awakening is a powerful process that can be difficult to understand and even more difficult to implement. It’s important for you to know your goals before starting the journey so you don’t get lost in all of these different techniques.
We hope this helped you find success with your third eye awakening journey. As the pineal gland activates and the brain becomes more integrated, life may seem to take on a whole new meaning. You might wake up with so many new realities about your life that you’ve never realized before, including your existence within the universe.
